Sandy Ogg is the founder of CEO.works, a consulting firm focused on changing the game of human capital. Sandy has over 30 years of experience working with CEOs to grow their companies and create exponential value for their stakeholders. He is passionate about bettering businesses and the world at large through developing C-suite leaders equipped to handle the current business landscape.
Leadership runs through Sandy’s veins. Before ever entering the corporate world, Sandy began his leadership journey as an Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. He then served as the president of The Center for Leadership Studies before founding VIA Consulting Group. Sandy also worked as a consultant with Dove Associates before moving on to serve as Motorola’s Senior Vice President of Leadership, Learning, and Performance.
In 2003, Sandy brought his talents to Unilever, serving as their Chief Human Resources Officer. During his time there, he played a vital role in completely transforming the organization’s operating network and leadership system. His last role prior to founding his current company was as operating partner in the Private Equity group at Blackstone.
As you can see, each step in Sandy’s journey brought him closer to his role today. Now, he has dedicated his career to helping leaders and businesses around the world succeed.
Sandy earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the US Coast Guard Academy. He holds a master’s degree in human development from George Washington University. He also earned his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
Throughout his journey as a leader and innovator, Sandy has been recognized for his progressive, results-driven performance. He has also served as a board member for various companies and academic institutions.
In November of 2015, Sandy was inducted into the National Academy of Human Resources Class of Fellows in recognition of his contributions to organizations, the HR profession, and society at large.
He is a former board member of INSEAD, The Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University, Netherlands), The European Academy for Business in Society (Vice Chairman), and BBH Advertising in London.
